She's also a young mother; she had a baby girl when she was just 16-years old. Charlotte's parents made her give up her baby for adoption. Now 15-years old; Charlotte's daughter Connie has plans of contacting her.
The first acting experience of Charlotte Ross is her theater performance at the age of 8 in "My First Mouthpiece". At the age of 13, she was discovered during one of her performance in a school musical. Charlotte made her film debut in 1986 in "Touch and Go". The year after, she made it on "Days of Our Lives" where she played a young, innocent looking prostitute who went to the city to find her biological parents. Charlotte later ended her role in "Days of Our Lives" to pursue other opportunities. She would later play many villain roles hiding in innocent face.
Charlotte Ross' other roles include NBC's "She Says She's Innocent", "Empty Nest" and Fox's "Married With Children" and Drexell's Class". She's also in Fox's musical drama "The Heights" where she could display her singing talents as an opera singer. She also starred in Brandon Tarkitoff's "Beggars and Choosers", an affectionate satire centered on an industry full of chaos and backstabbing. Her performance in this show had TV Guide say that Charlotte could grab the Emmy easy.
But perhaps the best role of her carrier, Charlotte Ross played Detective Connie McDowell on NYPD Blue in 2001, replacing actress Kim Delaney. She excelled in her serious Detective role even with her shorter height and blond hair, quite the opposite description with this serious a role.
Her love for animals got Charlotte Ross involved in animal welfare organizations such as Jane Goodall Institute, SPCA, and PETA. She posed nude showing her buttocks to support PETA's "I'd Rather Go Nude than Wear Fur" campaign. She adopted a homeless dog named Taco while on location in Puerto Rico, adding to Charlottes' one-eyed Pekinese named Katy. Charlotte married Michael Goldman on October 18, 2007 and had one child with him, Maxwell Ross Goldman, on March 23, 2004.
