Charlene Tilton was born on December 1, 1958, in Hollywood, California. She has discovered her love for acting at a very young age, and she began performing in school recitals and Community Theater when she was seven years old. She studied at the famous Hollywood High School where she starred in several school productions. Charlene Tilton was as well the president of the thespians club in her school.

This sexy petite actress began acting professionally at the age of 15, starting with a Japanese clothing commercial opposite Ringo Starr of the Beatles. Two years later, after starring in various advertisements and product endorsements, Charlene Tilton joined the cast of the 80’s popular television series Dallas, taking on the role of Lucy Ewing. The producers of the show were first eyeing in fellow actress Stepfanie Kramer, but she was then placed to star opposite Fred Dryer in another NBC series, Hunter.

In 1985, the writers of Dallas fell to be unable to continue to make subplots for the character of Lucy Ewing, which resulted to Charlene Tilton leaving the show. The fan base that she created while in Dallas however, made a massive campaign to bring her back, thus she returned and stay on the series for three more seasons in 1989. Charlene Tilton then underwent a transformation to mature storylines as Lucy Ewing, with plots including on and off engagements, two kidnappings, rape, abortion, and cheating boyfriends. Finally Lucy Ewing got married to Mitch Cooper, which was played by Leigh McCloskey, this became the second highest rated episode during the whole run of Dallas.

At one point Charlene Tilton graced the cover of over 600 magazines worldwide, and as well received more fan mail than any other CBS actor, making her one of the hottest stars during her time. Apart from acting, Charlene Tilton is also a singer, and her single C’est La Vie topped the German charts back in 1984.

Charlene Tilton has now changed career paths, for she now works as a gossip writer for a tabloid newspaper. She still does occasional television appearances, including that of in Who’s Life is it Anyway?, which garnered positive reviews in the Attic Theatre. She also takes care of her daughter Cherish, who is also an aspiring actress.
