Catherine Hicks was made popular by her performance as Anne in 7th Heaven. She was born on August 6, 1951 in New York, New York. She attended Notre Dame University with double Majored in Theology and English Literature and also at Cornell University where she earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting. She was raised in Scottsdale, Arizona and now living with her husband Kevin Yagher, a special effects artist in Bel Air. She had a daughter named Catie.

Catherine Hicks’ first TV appearance was in 1976 when she portrayed Dr. Faith Collridge in the soap opera Ryan’s Hope which lasted for only 2 years. She became the lead on the TV version of The Bad New Bears. She also played the role of Marilyn Monroe in the TV movie Marilyn: The Untold Story in 1980. In 1982, she played the lead role in the comedy detective series Tucker’s Witch. These are followed by supporting roles in Death Valley in 1982, Garbo Talks and The Razor’s Edge in 1984, Peggy Sue Got Married and Star Trek IV: The Voyager both in 1986.

The horror film Child’s Play established her name in Hollywood. In this film, Catherine Hicks met her husband Kevin Yagher. After the movie, she starred opposite Tony Danza in She’s Out of Control. Some of the films she has done are Liebestraum in 1991, Dillinger and Capone in 1995 and Hallmark Hall of Fame movie Redwood Curtain in 1995.

In 1996, Catherine Hicks was cast as Annie Camdem, a preacher’s wife in the TV drama 7th Heaven. She said that she does not want to play the role of a mom, but the script stirred her interest. She received a lot of compliments when she was shown on the scene where she is about to give birth because she acted that part naturally. 7th Heaven became the longest-running and one of the most viewed TV drama serial.

Catherine Hicks married her co-actor Stephen Collins. They both appeared in the Star Trek movies. Catherine is eleven years older than her husband whom she married in 1990. They had a daughter named Catie who was born in 1992.

One of Catherine Hicks’ latest TV movies was For All Time in 2000 opposite Mark Harmon. 7th Heaven was cancelled in 2006 after a successful ten year run but it remained as one of the most loved TV Drama of all time.
