Catalina Sandino Moreno loved theater and stage plays at a very young age. She made her New York Stage Debut in 2004 for Shakespeare’s “King John” for the Frog and Peach’s Production. With an extraordinary beauty and character, Catalina was included in the list of People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People”.

Born April 19, 1981 in Bogota Columbia, Catalina took acting classes in Bogota Theater where she was finally “discovered” by an anonymous fan who later recommend her name to the casting agent for Maria Full of Grace in 2004. Catalina landed as the lead role in the movie where she was later nominated for Best Actress in 2005 Oscar for her outstanding Performance.

In the film Maria Full of Grace, Catalina Sandino Moreno played the girl Maria who turned out to be a beautiful woman in the end. Her character in the movie made a big impact on Catalina Sandino Moreno in choosing the right roles for in her future projects. She no longer wants to make movies with light story but prefer those with power just like Maria Full of Grace.
