Carmen Electra dropped out of Princeton High school in Sharonville and attended the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati. She then moved to California, where she met singer, Prince. She sighed a recording contract with Princes recording company, Paisley Park Records, which marked the start of her career.
In 1995, Carmen Electra appeared in several television programs. However, it was in May 1996 that the public noticed in a nude pictorial for Playboy Magazine, which was the first of several others. This exposure led to other high profile TV appearances, such as a cast member in Baywatch from 1997 to 1998 and MTVs Singled Out.
Carmen Electra became a Playboy favorite among readers that she was featured in the cover twice, in December 2000 and April 2003. She became the first woman invited to become a celebrity guest photographer in the Playboy Cyber Club, where she chose Jennifer Walcott as her Playmate subject model.
Between 1997 and 2007, Carmen Electra appeared in various films, such as Good Burger, Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human and several spoof movies, such as Scary Movie and Scary Movie 4, Epic Movie and Date Movie. In 2004, she also starred in the remake of 1970s TV Starsky & Hutch, where she won the MTV Movie Award for best kiss.
Aside from her acting and music career, Carmen Electra also appeared in the music video of The Inevitable Return of the Great White Dopy from Bloodhound Gang. She also lent her voice in the animated series, Tripping the Rift in 2005. In late 2006, Carmen Electra accepted a TV-commercial gig with Taco Bell and Ritz Camera Centers. She also has her own line of prepaid MasterCards and is a spokesperson for Payment Data Systems.
Carmen Electra dated rap star B Real of Cypress Hill between 1995 and 1998. She was involved in an on-off marriage with Dennis Rodman from 1998 to 1999. She was rumored to have an affair with Pamela Andersons ex-husband, Tommy Lee. In November 2003, Carmen Electra married Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist, Dave Navarro and documented their courtship and marriage in an MTV reality show, Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen & Dave. The couple filed for divorce on August 10 2006 and was finalized in February 2007.
