Busy Philipps Biography
This sexy actress was given the nickname Busy because as a baby, she was always moving. True enough, Busy Philipps grew to be an energetic child, with a deep passion for acting. Her first acting performance was in her third grade production of Charlottes Web, where she took on the role of Wilbur the pig. Because of this, Busy Philipps went to learn more about her skill, as she joined in the community theater of the town where she was raised, Scottsdale Arizona. She graduated at the Chaparral High School in 1998, and then she went on to attend a summer course at the Oxford School of Drama in Oxford University, England.
At the age of 17, Busy Philipps made her first professional acting job as a real-life Barbie doll for Mattels toy-fair circuit. This was then followed by roles in sexy B-movies as well as a regular casting in Freaks and Geeks, where she took on the role of Kim Kelly, opposite Daniel, played by James Franco. Busy Philipps stayed on the show from 1999-2000, wherein she showed a cartoonish character complemented with smooth serious crudeness especially when the shows script depicted her troubled family life. While at Freaks and Geeks, the actress already produced two plays at the Actors Lab of Arizona.
After Freaks and Geeks, Busy Philipps focused on movies such as MTVs Anatomy of a Hate Crime, and Im A Spring Break Lawyer, which were both released on 2001. She as well made a guest appearance in the now-defunct Dead Last, and then in Dawsons Creek, where she played the role of Audrey, Joeys (Katie Holmes) oversexed roommate. During this time, Busy Philipps was included in Maxims list of Hot 100 Women of 2001.
In 2005, Busy Philipps appeared on Love Inc., a sitcom on UPN. Her role was originally made for Shannen Doherty. The following year, she had a recurring role on the medical drama ER, as Hope. In 2007, Busy Philipps, who is now one of Hollywoods well known faces, made her debut this time as a scriptwriter, when she took part in the making of Will Ferrels comedy film, Blades of Glory.
Busy Philipps was once involved with actor Colin Hanks from 1997 to 2001.
