She was initially regarded as a cinema sex kitten, whose acting resume spanned from 1979 to 1998. Along Ava Cadells list of film credits are 1981s History of the World: Part 1 by Mel Brooks, Smokey and the Bandit, Part 3 in 1983, Euer Weg führt durch die Hölle, a German made film known in the US as Jungle Warriors in 1984, the action hit Commando with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Andy Sidaris 1993 thriller fit to Kill. When not on film, Ava Cadell busied herself with guest appearances in Mickey Spillanes Mike Hammer and Arthur Haileys Hotel both in 1984, the famous TV series Dallas, as well as The Love Boat in 1985.
After enjoying the spotlight, Ava Cadell focused on another field, as she tuned her attention in studying about personal relationships and sexual fulfillment. Thus, she obtained a doctors degree in human behavior at the Newport University in California which was followed by a doctorate of education in human sexuality in San Franciscos Institute for Advances Study of Human Sexuality. Ava Cadell has now written seven books discussing the various facets of sex and relationships. Being a celebrity sex therapist, Ava Cadell has appeared on different national TV programs including Extra, Good Morning America, Geraldo and Montel Williams. She was also featured in a number of documentaries and news reports for various TV and cable networks.
Ava Cadell is now one of the most sought-after speakers in the United States. Not only has she been famous in the US but also in other countries such as Canada, Africa, Europe and Asia. Ava Cadell now lectures to various religious groups, colleges, medical institutes and companies, her mission being to promote the joys of healthy love and shared intimacy around the world.
As part of being a love counselor and sex therapist, Ava Cadell founded the Loveology University-the on-line university of love coaching. She is also affiliated with the Association of Sexuality Educators Counselors and Therapists, the Board of Behavioral Sciences and the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality.
Ava Cadell is married to Los Angeles defense attorney Peter L. Knecht.
