Wife of Hollywood’s Warren Beatty, Annette Benning was born on the 29th of May 1956 in Topeka, Kansas. She was born from Arnett Grant Bening and Shriley Benning and had two brothers and one sister. Her father was an insurance company employee and her mother was a housewife. Though she was born in Topeka, her family moved to Wichita in 1959 where she spent her childhood.
In 1965, her family moved again because of her father’s work. They moved to San Diego, California where she attended the Patrick Henry High School. There she played in many school plays and became the lead in The Sound of Music. She had many jobs in high school one of which was as a cook in charter boats for the Pacific Ocean. Then she went to San Diego Messa College. Then he had her degree in theater arts from the San Francisco State University.

While attending her Advanced Theatre Training Program, she was accepted by the American Conservatory Theater and performed in many plays. She then established herself as one of the best actresses the theater has seen and her role as Lady Macbeth was considered to be as the one of the best performances for the character in a long time.

Then she moved to New York and appeared in the off-Broadway Second Stage Theatre in Coastal Disturbances by Tina Howe. She played the role of Holly Dancer opposite Tim Daly. This was in 1987 and the previous year she appeared in Manhunt for Claude Dallas. In 1988 she had her first major role in The Great Outdoors. This was followed by Valmont in 1989 as Marquise de Merteuil. She played opposite Colin Firth.

In 1990, she stared in the acclaimed The Grifters by Stephen Frears. Her role in The Grifters earned her the Academy Award Nomination for Best Supporting Actress. The movie was then followed by Bugsy where she co-stared with Warren Beatty. She played the role of minor star and lover of Ben Seigel, Virginia Hill. It was on the set of Bugsy where she and Warren had their secret love affair. The following year she married the elusive bachelor Warren Beaty. They now live in Los Angels and have four children.

In 1998, it was reported that she was paid $3 million for her role in The Siege as Elise Kraft and Sharon Bridger. Her costras included Bruce Willis and Denzel Washington. The following year she stared in American Beauty. Anne’s other performances included Bugsy, Being Julia, The American President, Running with Scissors.
