Anna Mouglalis was born in Nantes, Loire-Atlantique on the 26th of April 1978. Her father is Greek while her mother is French. She was raised in the Var département before her parents decide to move the family back to her birthplace in Nantes. Anna speaks fluent Spanish, Greek, Italian, French and English. She studied under the esteemed Daniel Mesguich at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique de Paris (CNSAD) until the year 2001.

In 1997, she had her first professional acting stint in the La Nuit du Titani which was shown only in Paris. The following year 1998 she appeared in the Terminal after being personally chosen by Francis Girod. Then in 2000 she appeared in Jean Pierre Limosin’s Novo. That same year, with her great performance she was then asked by Roberto Ando for his Sotto Falso Nome.

In 2003, she appeared in La Maladie de la mort, which had its preview at the VeniceFilm Festival. The movie La Maladie de la mort was the first directorial job of Asa Mader and it was shot in black and white. Following the release of La Maladie de la mort she then appeared in the Greek film Alithini Zoi or Real Life in its English release. It was directed by Panos Koutras.

In 2005, Anna had her chance to do Italian films. She appeared in the Michele Placido directed film Romanzo criminale and in the film Mare Buio where she starred opposite Luigi Lo Cascio. Then she appeared in the movie made for television Les Amants du Flore with Lorànt Deutsch. They played the characters of existentialist Jean Paul Sartre and Simone de Beuvoir. Their portrayals were huge success both for the critics and the viewers.

Her other film credits includes: De l'histoire ancienne, La captive, Merci pour le chocolat, La Vie nouvelle,Le loup de la côte ouest, Un an, En jouant dans la compagnie des hommes, Le Rôle de sa vie, La Maladie de la mort, Alithini zoi, Des mots d'amour, En attendant le déluge and Mare nero.

She continues to receive many roles from the many directors and producers she had worked with.
Even with her success in acting Anna had never left modeling. In 2002, she was chosen for the ad campaign of Allure de Chanel perfume by Karl Lagerfeld himself. Currently she one of the muses of Chanel bags. In 2007, she gave birth to her and Samuel Samuel Benchétrit’s daughter, Saul.
