Former ballet dancer and actress, Andrea Nicole Parker was born on the 8th of March 1970 in Monterey County, California. She started training for ballet at the age of six. At the age of 15 she was already a member of a professional dance company and toured the country for three year. Following the tour with the dance company she decided to quit dancing to try acting. She earned her living as a bartender while training as an actress. When she was 19 she had her first role in Rented Lips. She played the role of a nurse who is also a dancer.

Then Andrea had her break in the Seinfeld The Contest Episode in 1992. She played the role of the nurse and got noticed for her natural talent. Her role in Seinfeld was followed by more offers in television. She appeared as guest star in ER playing the role of Linda Farrell and in JAG as Caitlin Pike. For her well toned and beautiful body she appeared as body double for Julia Roberts in the film Pretty Woman. It was her body which opened the scene for the movie.

She also landed a role in The Pretender by NBC. This gained her cult following. Her character was challenging but she was loved by fans and critics for her portrayal. Following The Pretender’s cancellation in 2000 she again appeared in JAG. Then she reprised her role in The Pretender for its movie for television release on TNT. In 2002 she starred in Less Than Perfect as Lydia Weston. However the show was cancelled in 2006. After that she was seen in many television series and shows including in celebrity poker.

In 1999, she was nominated in the Golden Satellite Award as Best Performance by an Actress in Television Series of Drama for her role in The Pretender. In 2003 Primetime TV Awards awarded her the Best Actress in a Comedy for her role in Less Than Perfect. In 2005 she was awarded by WIN or Women’s Image Network Awards the Best Supporting Actress for Comedy again for her performance in Less than Perfect.

During her free time, Andrea spends her time in many charities including The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson, National Hospice Palliative Care Organization, Project Angel Food and Glenn Siege’s My Good Friend charity organization. In 2006 she attended a benefit for Cure Autism.
