Fashion model and actress Amy Lysle Smart, famously known as Amy Smart, was born on the 26th of March 1976 in Topanga, California. As a child she studied ballet for almost a decade and when she was sixteen enrolled herself in acting classes. Her career in modeling was launched by the ad campaigns she did in France, Mexico, Italy and particularly in Tahiti for Club Med which was directed by the famous Bruno Aveillan.

In 1997, she appeared in the movie Starship Troopers. She had a minor role, the co pilot or Carmen Ibanez played by Denise Richards. Then she landed a starring role in the mini series The 70s where she played a young woman originally from Ohio. Then in 199 she appeared in the film Varsity Blues where she played the girlfriend of one of the football players. She appeared opposite James Van Deer Beek. Aside form the movies she was seen in the television series Felicity and had the role of Scott Foley’s girlfriend. In 2000 she appeared in Road Trip, in 2004 in Butterfly Effect and in 2005 she landed a starring role in Just Friends. She appeared opposite Ryan Raynolds. The film was a success, earning a total box office of over $46 million.

In 2002, Amy got the number 27 ranking in 100 Sexiest Women in the World according to Stuff Magazine. In 2004 she was nominated in the MTV Movie Awards for Best Kiss in her part in Starsky and Hutch. In 2006 she appeared in Scrubs as the wife of patient in deep coma, nicknamed TCW for Tasty Coma Wife. That same year she also was seen in Crank where she played the girlfriend of Chev, the lead character played by Jason Statham. Also on that year she appeared as a regular cast in the television series Smith by CBS. She also leant her voice in Seth Green’s animation series Robot Chicken.

In between roles, Amy is an active speaker of the Heal the Bay organization. She also actively participates in the Humane Society and in the Environmental Media Association. In 2004 she was one of the Women with Organic Style by Organic Style magazine. She supports the organizations and believes that the environment is everyone’s responsibilities.

Amy is engaged to Branden Williams and they have been dating for more than thirteen years. She is a close friend of former model Ali Larter and Amelia Kinkade the author of The Language of Miracles.
