Amy Davidson was born on September 15, 1979 in Phoenix Arizona. She has discovered her love in the performing arts when her parents sent her on dancing classes when she was still a young child. Growing up Amy Davidson joined the award-winning dance company, Dance Motion, and with the group she captivated audiences and reaped awards in national dance contests and annual productions. While in the dance group, Amy Davidson also nurtured an interest in the field of acting.

Amy Davidson started her acting career by appearing in commercials. She further cultured her skills under acting coach, and in order to attract more offers, she moved to Los Angeles. In LA, Amy Davidson bagged the recurring role of Cammie Morton in the series So Little Time, starring Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. She also made a guest appearance in the drama Judging Amy, and the cable movie The Truth About Jane. This was followed by another cable movie, Annie’s Point, along side Betty White and Richard Thomas, this time on Hallmark Channel.

Amy Davidson’s breakthrough came when she starred in sitcom 8 Simple Rules, the TV Adaptation of the movie 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter. She landed on the character of Kerry Hennessy, the nerd middle child who is very much annoyed about it. She plays the younger sister to Kaley Cuoco in the series, but in reality, Cuoco is six younger than her.

Amy Davidson stayed on the series throughout its whole run. The said ‘8 Simple Rules’ were as follows: (1) User your hands on my daughter and you’ll lose them after, (2) you make her cry, I make you cry, (3) safe sex is a myth, (4) bring her home late, there’s no next date, (5) dates ring the doorbell only once, (6) no complaining while waiting for her, (7) if your pants hang off your hips, I’ll gladly secure them with my staple gun, and (8) dates must be in crowded places.

Amy Davidson has just finished filming the movie Goyband, which is expected to be released in 2007. In the movie she plays the role of an Orthodox Jewish girl who falls in love with a former pop star who makes a performance in her family’s hotel. Amy Davidson shares the screen with Adam Pascal, Natasha Lyonne, Cris Judd, Dean Edwards, Tibor Feldman, and Tovah Feldshuh.

When not on location, Amy Davidson enjoys going to the gym and working out, snow skiing, and going to the famed Cardio Barre, a workout studio that fuses aerobics with ballet. She currently lives in Los Angeles, where she recently bought a new house.
