When Amanda de Cadenet was 17 years old, she earned a more serious and mature popularity when she was a co-host for The Word. Amanda de Cadenet was also offered several parts for films and movies. She has appeared in: The Rachel Papers in 1989, Blue Flame in 1995, Four Rooms, Grace of My Heart in 1996, Fall, Brokedown Palace in 1999, Implicated, and Mascara. Amanda de Cadenet subsequently got photography jobs for prestigious fashion magazines such as Vogue, Spin, and Jane.

In 2006, she and Nick Valensi married, and she bore twins. Amanda de Cadenet and Nick Valensi currently live in New York where she continues to work as a photographer.
