Alyssa Milano, one of the most famous young actresses of the 80s, was born from Tom Milano and Lin Milano was born in the month of December of the year 1972. Her acting career started in the 80s when she appeared in the musical Annie. She toured with the company throughout the country for over fourteen months which developed her acting prowess and professionalism. Following the success of Annie she then appeared in Adel, another musical which ran at the Ensemble Studio Theatre. Then she appeared in Manhattan’s second Stage Theatre in All Night Long by John O’Keefe.

Her first film appearance soon followed. She appeared in Old Enough in 1983. Then she got interested in appearing in television and went on to audition for television pilots. She got the part of Samantha Michell in Who’s the Boss, appearing with Tony Danza. The series became an instant hit and catapulted her to fame. The series debuted at ABC Television in September of 1984. This caused changes to the family. Her family decided that they have to move to Los Angeles, with her father quitting her job and taking her to LA; and the rest of the family soon followed. The move proved to be quite right since Who’s the Boss became a big hit and Alyssa was offered many roles. She played in Commando with Arnold Schwarzenegger and in other teen movies opposite the most famous teen actors of the 80s.

Her success continued unto the 90s despite her nude poses in Bikini Magazine which was seen in the country and across Europe and nude appearances in feature films. These included Deadly Sins, The Outer Limits, Embrace of the Vampire and Poison Ivy 2. She appeared in more than ten films following her nude appearances. In 1997 she returned to television and starred as Jennifer Mancini in Melrose Place and then as Phoebe Halliwel in the hit series Charmed. Her role in Charmed catapulted her back to stardom.

Today Alyssa is more involved in her philanthropic works which started when she was asked in 2003 by UNICEF to be one of its national ambassadors. This got her involved in UNICEF’s worldwide campaign for relief. She gave her full support to UNICEF and at the same give enough time to her own charitable works. Her successful internet company also proves her ability management and her website is also very popular with more than one hundred thousand hits in a month.
