Born as Alison Ann Sweeney on the 19th of September 1976 in Pasadena, California, Sweeney is best known for her role as Sami Brady in NBC’s Days of our Lives. She plays the daughter of Dr. Marlena Evans, played by Daidre Hall. Her role started out as a rebellious teenager and now she is playing the role of single mother. Along the line, she has overcome several acting challenges for the role including playing a victim of date rape, undergoing teenage pregnancy, struggling over bulimia and ever having been sentenced with capital punishment.

Alison had received several awards in her portrayal as one of Salem’s bad girls. Her awards included The Soap Opera Digest Award for the years 1996, 1998, 1998 and 2001. She had even won America’s Favorite Villain Award from Daytime Emmy.

Alison started acting at the young age of four. Since then she was seen in Simon and Simon, St. Elswhere, Brand New Life, Tales from the Dark Side, Webster, Family Man, I Married Donna and The End of innocence. Just recently she was seen on several television shows and series which included the Celebrity Poker in 2005, NBC’s Las Vegas and on NBC’s Weakest Link where she won the jackpot. She even appeared in the hit sitcom Friends. She appeared as guest star in Fear Factor along with Kevin Richardson of the Backstreet Boys and Stephen Baldwin.

She is married to a California Highway Patrol Officer and they live in Los Angeles with their child and three beloved dogs. Along with her acting she had written her autobiography entitled, All The Days of My Life (So Far).

She was recently seen in The Biggest Looser and will also be featured in many magazines including Fitness, Golf For Women and Health Magazine. Prior to that she had her successful book signing, she co-hosted in Ali in the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon with Tom Bergeron, appeared at Larry King Live, talked about toddler nutrition as she joined with Gerber on promoting nutrition, appeared in Marie Claire Magazine for busy women’s meal feature, had a very successful Valentines Day Blog Event, appeared on NBC’s 1 vs 100, appeared in Alison Sweeney on Show Business, Motherhood and the Deconstruction of Sami Brady, appeared in 2006 Telethon of the Stars, talked about InTune, appeared on Wheel of Fortune, hosted the Humanitarian Relief Event and guest stared in The Martha Stewart Show.
