Ali Landry’s success in the pageantry was when she was hailed Miss Louisiana Teen USA in 1990. She eventually represented her country in the 1990 Miss Teen USA held in Biloxi, Mississippi. She ranked seventh in the said contest. Five years later, she was crowned Miss Louisiana USA 1996, and likewise represented her state again this time at the Miss USA 1996 at South Padre Island, Texas. Her astonishing looks and glamour became her ladder to the top, and thus she won the Miss USA 1996 title. Ali Landry then represented the United States in the 1996 Miss Universe Pageant, which was held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Because of her success as a beauty queen, Ali Landry was showered with guest appearances on film and television, as well as modeling stints for magazines and print ads. She became the official spokesperson for Doritos, appearing in TV commercials from 1998 to 2000. She was also included in People magazine’s 50 most beautiful people in the world in 1998. Ali Landry as well became a host in the Spy TV in 2002. She then was able to exercises her acting abilities when she became a regular in the TV sitcom Eve, and stayed on the show from 2003 to 2006. She made regular guest appearances in Farmclub.com, Pensacola: Wings of Gold, America’s Greatest Pets, and Sunset Beach.
Ali Landry is also well equipped with a range of talents that match her grace and style. Landry has studied tap, ballet and gymnastics for fifteen years. She is as well an active athlete and has participated in the Boston Marathon.
Ali Landry was once married to Saved by the Bell star Mario Lopez. The two first met during the 1998 Miss Teen USA pageant where he was the emcee while she was a commentator. They were married in 2004 after almost a year of being engaged. However, Ali Landry filed for annulment two weeks after the wedding, allegedly because of the infidelities Lopez had done during the course of their relationship. She also dated Phoenix Cardinals quarterback, Stoney Case.
In 2006, Ali Landry was married to director Alejandro Gomes Monteverde in Mexico. They have one daughter named Estela Ines, born on July 10, 2007.
