Adele Silva started to portray the character of Kelly Windsor in 1993 and has been on the said series for seven years. She then went on a five-year hiatus from the soap opera, and then returned in 2005, promising to be the “bitch” in British drama. She began her acting career in 1989 as Squeak in the Doctor Who episode entitled Survival, alongside actors Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred. By the age of twelve, Silva appeared in television shows such as The Bill, Mr. Majeika, and EastEnders.
During her seven years in Emmerdale (1993-2000), Adele Silva was able to establish her acting prowess by portraying the role of a rather provocative character. As Kelly Windsor, she took on plotlines such as sleeping with her schoolteacher, as well as having an illicit love affair with her stepbrother.
While she was not in Emmerdale, Adele Silva was seen as a lesbian on Is Harry on the Boat, Mile High, The Courtroom, and the independent film named Jam.
In 2003, Adele Silva suffered physical injuries after her she was carjacked while driving in south London. A man came out of nowhere and wanted to snatch her silver Peugeot 205 convertible away, but she tried to fight back. The incident caused her several cuts, bruises, and a hit on the head.
Adele Silva was able to make a comeback, this time as a model, and she graced the covers of magazines such as Maxim and FHM. Her aspirations of being a model also made some raucous when she underwent a breast enlargement surgery. She as well concretized her status as a celebrity by being active in talk shows including The Sharon Osbourne Show and Loose Women, as well as celebrity reality game shows like I’m Famous… and Frightened!, The Weakest Link, and Celebrity Fear Factor UK. She also offered advice in an online dating website called Smartflirts.
Her most recent project after her comeback to Emmerdale was the Season 3 of Hell’s Kitchen, and Adele Silva, alongside other fellow celebrities, cooked under Chef Marco Pierre White. Silva ended as a runner-up.
Adele Silva has been involved with soccer player Warren Feeney but the couple broke up in 2001. She then was linked to Antony Costa, but their relationship ended in 2006.
