I don’t know, I don’t work out and I eat badly. It’s good genes I guess. I bought a gym membership a couple of months ago and I’ve gone three times. I wrote it for my goddaughter. She was born in January and I was there for her birth and then I went back to New York to write some more. While I was away she almost died and it just broke my heart because there was nothing I could do. I was all the way across the country and she was in NICU for the first three weeks of her life. That song, to me, is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever written in my life. And now she’s happy and healthy and it’s the one song that will make her fall asleep in a heartbeat.
